The end of a chapter

I've always been told, marks the beginning

of a new change,

of something better than there was before

I've also been told,

they make the end of things,

sometimes bittersweet

leaving you with lessons.

What will she do now?

Her questions have been answered,

but they weren't what she hoped for,

So what next?

The right decision is clear for all the readers to see,

Really, it isn't a choice.

But what if?!

What if,

She takes that other road,

where she pushes the boundaries and tests the limits

to try and get the answer she wants.

Oh, the suspense!

Though I'll tell you now,

She won't walk such a road.

The decision is made,

but what's next is still unclear.

So I guess we end the chapter here,

The book, now closed,

A pause,

A break,

Deserving of some time.

The end of a chapter,

beginning and end of moments in life,

and like some chapters require a break in between

To reflect,

To comprehend,

To digest the scene

I, too, have reached the end of a chapter,

Somewhat bittersweet.

So I'm taking a break,

maybe a good night's sleep?

However, tomorrow

I'll pick up that book once more

and start again.
