The Story Behind
A writer, a feeler, a soft observer of the world, and someone learning to hold space for the many versions of herself that have existed, unravelled, and begun again throughout all the places and people life has brought to me.
I’ve always found solace in quiet corners, where the noise softens and the heart speaks louder. Most nights, you’ll find me with a warm cup of tea in hand, my Dil Hi Toh Hai playlist humming softly in the background, writing long after the world has gone to sleep. It’s in those still, sacred hours that my truest words come.
Rooted in Rewrite is my corner of the internet where writing meets healing, where creativity feels like coming home, and where stories—even the half-formed, not-yet-ready ones—are honoured for what they’re becoming. This blog was born from a deep desire to reconnect with my writing, to show up for myself on the page, and to stay accountable to the voice that often gets drowned out in the noise of everyday life.
I’ve always believed that writing is not just about storytelling — it’s about soul-telling. It’s about returning, over and over again, to what’s true. Not necessarily what’s polished or publish-ready, but what’s honest. What aches. What transforms us. The “rewrite” in this blog’s name isn’t just about editing lines — it’s about giving myself permission to reimagine the way I move through life, love, growth, and identity.
I don’t claim to have it all figured out — far from it, actually. But I do know that words have saved me in ways I’m still learning to articulate. And this space is a tribute to that — a living, breathing archive of what it looks like to try. To write through doubt. To pause and begin again. To find beauty in the blur.
So whether you’re a fellow writer, a creative soul seeking resonance, or someone quietly navigating their own becoming, welcome. You’re safe here. Let’s root in what’s real, and rewrite what’s ready.
